Where to get it?

MTM2 - the full 100% game.
MTM2 Patch - the official required patch for online play.
MTM2 Community Patch - fan made patch that brings the world of HD and WideScreen to MTM2. Windows 10 or later. Does not need the official patch above.

How to install?

Download the file from above to your preferred destination. Then extract the files from the .zip archive to a temporary destination and just click on setup.exe, install the game to a directory of your choice using the "complete" installation option and you're ready to go.

Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 10 you must first set the compatibility mode to Windows XP and run the file as an administrator for the installation to work. To do that you must right click on setup.exe then select the compatibility tab, like in the picture below.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: On Windows 10 only: After a fresh installation, support for old games might not be automatically enabled. Please look here for the solution. Installing the Community Patch removes the need for this — it does not rely on the legacy components, so if you are going straight to the patch you can skip that step entirely.

Serial Key

When the installation asks for a serial key just type in a line of 1's (one's).

Spice up your game!

Start with the Community Patch. It is the one thing that changes everything: modern resolutions, DirectX 11 and Vulkan renderers, shadows and reflections, and far higher limits than the 1999 game shipped with. It needs Windows 10 or later. On that, you no longer need a Glide wrapper to get MTM2 running properly.
Dxtory is still worth a look if you want to record or measure what you are playing.
