Readme for Sample Leveller Reference Shapes
Copyright 2001 Daylon Graphics Ltd.

Reference shapes are 3D objects that can be
used to preview 3D geometry in and around a
Leveller heightfield. They are also used to
show recorded flight paths.

To see a reference shape set, use the
"View, Reference Shapes, Attach..." command
in Leveller, and specify one of the files in
the samples/refshapes folder. The shapes
should be visible near the center of the
heightfield. Note that the demo version of
Leveller can only load simple reference shapes.

Note: if you are using solid rendition styles,
and can't see the reference shapes, it is
probably because you have backface culling enabled
and have flown 'behind' the shapes.

LSL files are in editable text format.
The TEST.LSL file has more information
on how reference shapes are made and used.

LSL files can be exported from the sPatch
modeler using the Leveller sPatch plug-in
available at
http://www.daylongraphics.com/products/leveller/plugins.htm
