  ****** NASA Experimental / X-MTM2 ********

   OK....it's finally finished! Here's my LIQUID-FUELED ROCKET-POWERED CHEVY. I had this one bouncing around in my head ever since I made Blue Angels (...nice to be empty-headed again...lol ).

   NASA EXP. uses a reworked CAROLINA CRUSHER cab. I kept the front semi-fiberglas to reduce a high vertix count, but an open tube sub-frame was added underneath. The roof has been lowered in the front and a large front air-dam and twin tails/single wing added to improve high-speed aerodynamics (meaningless in MTM2, but it looks great).

  The engine is a ZO Engineering single-turbopump, twin-nozzle rocket motor that uses the same cryogenic fuel as the Space Shuttle (super-cold liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen). A high-pressure nitrogen tank is mounted under the cab to operate control-valves and for purging (flushing) the fuel-lines after a run (the drive shafts pass thru the tank, but I dont know of any way to remove or hide 'em).

   The paint is NASA blue-on-white, with the blue 'meatball' logo, like many of their test vehicles, ( I live only 1 mile away from NASA / AMES RESEARCH CENTER,... link below).

NASA Experimental (body off)

   I'm including a version of the truck with the body removed. Sometimes a truck's fiberglas body gets smashed in competition, or they make test runs with no body, plus it shows the frame-detail of the truck, (plus it looks so awesome ...like a big go-kart!). My other 'body off' trucks are Dodge RamJET and MERLIN's MAGIC (Chevy).

VERTIX COUNT;
NASA EXPERIMENTAL      906
NASA EXP. (body off)  1187
Stock BIGFOOT          235
Stock OUTSIDER         398

   Enjoy...    ZO_BigDOGGe (pawprint)
