*****BIGFOOT 4 (Racer)*****
      By Betrayal88

Truck history: Built in 1984 Bigfoot #4 was the first monster truck to used planetary axles. Originally piloted by legendary drivers Jim Kramer and Rich Hoosier. In 1988 the truck underwent a few minor updates, mostly in the horsepower department. In 1990 the brand new bigfoot 8 was banned from performing in the TNT racing circuit, so #4 was taken apart and completely rebuilt into a light weight race truck, featuring a fiberglass body, nitrogen shocks in the rear, and a brand new 540ci ford motor. Driven by Andy Brass for a short period of time, most of the driving duties of bigfoot 4 belonged to John Piant. In 1990 this truck was completely destroyed when Piant hit a pit wall going full speed. The truck was rebuilt, stronger than before. In 1991 Bigfoot 4 made history once again as it was the very first truck to feature a "3D body", Snakebite. Many trucks follow that theme to this day, Samson, Predator, and Reptoid are some of the more famous. The truck did smaller USHRA shows untill 98 as newer better designed tube chassis trucks came along. Today Bigfoot 4 is a display truck and is the only leafsprung Stage 2 monster truck Bob Chandler still owns.
