WELCOME TO THE PIT! Created by Slash!

This is a short circuit (lap times can be under a minute) that takes
you down into a deep quarry, from where you must work your way up and
out. It features a large drop-off into the pit, a short trek through
a mine, and a few smaller jumps as you make your way up along the
ledges that lead the way to the finish line.

This track is short because anything over about 1:30 is a bit too long
in multi-player, and because shorter tracks help keep the trucks
bunched up.

Something else I paid attention to was making the front of the truck
nose down coming off big jumps so you can see where you're going.
This is tough on really big jumps because the front of the truck tends
to rise during flight. It's worth the effort though, because I think
big jumps where you're pointed at the sky are pointless.

This is my first attempt at making an add-on track for Monster Truck
Madness, and was it ever a learning experience! Mostly, I learned
that it's too bad the Track Editor isn't more "CAD-like". Actually,
it's not too bad once you get used to it. And of course it's great to
race and see your friends race your track.

Another thing I learned is that laying down the textures is hard, and
it's even more difficult if you don't follow one of the "themes" from
the stock tracks. You'll see the evidence of this in my poor texture
blending. And, like everyone else, I learned that getting the computer
trucks to go where you want them to go can be a frustrating exercise in
futility. If anyone has it figured out, let me know.

Have fun!
